In our opinion the best tubular mortice latch on the market if you have unsprung mortice knobs, and a must if you need a latch to go with any Delamain mortice knobs. this latch is ideal for any unsprung furniture and particularly knobs so that the knob is not too stiff to turn, but strong enough to spring back. Offers less resitance when it latches - also has pre-drilled holes in the case to accept any of our designer levers, which all have bolt-through fixings (except the 63mm size-this size does not have a bolt through hole) So can be used with any door furniture, and offers superior quality and finish to your project.
- supplied with striking plate and screws.
- available 63mm (45mm backset) or 76mm (57mm backset) or 103mm (82mm backset) or 125mm (107mm).
- available in polished stainless, satin stainless, polished brass, and florentine bronze finishes. (Polished & satin stainless steel are well matched to polished chrome and satin chrome ironmongery)

Great medium sprung latch

One of the few places which sell 'medium sprung' latches. Tried other 'heavy duty' types put are too firm when used with round door knobs. Need to 102mm length so that the knob is sufficient distance from the frame. Seem nice quality.

Well made and so much better than the latch it replaced!
Good quality door latch and keeper.

There are a lot of rubbish tubular latches out there, but I suppose if you pay 79p rubbish is all you should expect. If you pay nearer £6.00 you get a high quality Delamain DL latch that will last many years of heavy domestic or commercial use. There are the holes required for bolt through handles, (I wouldn't have any other sort for a handle on a rose backplate), and the plastic box housing behind the keeper is a nice feature, better than seeing shredded frame timber through the keeper aperture. The latches only rotate in one direction so have to be fitted the right way up, but that is stated on the casing. Excellent product.

Substantial feel, well made, allows bolt through handle fixings & a nice black plastic recess insert for behind the striking plate which finishes it off very well indeed.
