the gainsborough privacy adaptor kit should be specified for converting any gainsborough passage knobset to gain a privacy function. most commonly used for bathrooms, ensuites and even bedrooms / studies. the 2-part adaptor is simply mounted onto both sides of the door, and your gainsborough passage knobs are fitted over them respectively. on the inside there will be a discreet switch which locks the knobs when engaged. emergency access can also be gained from the outside if required. there is also a panic function whereby turning the inside knob will automatically allow exit.
