Our vast range of escutcheons are designed as a finishing touch for all locking doors and are used to decorate key holes.
This concealed escutcheon features a stepped art deco cover which matches a number of other products in our range and adds a contemporary edge to a traditional looking product.
Our escutcheons complement all of our mortice knob and lever on rose designs.
This escutcheon uses a standard key hole so can be used with a multitude of locks.
Supplied with matching SS wood screws.
PRODUCT FINISH
Our external beeswax is unique to From the Anvil and is manufactured from an anti-corrosive beeswax. It has a matt richness and like our standard beeswax, the depth of colour ranges from blue to deep red ochre. An extremely natural finish and a far softer alternative to a black powder coated finish.
MAINTENANCE & CARE
Although the finish already offers a very strong barrier against environmental conditions, we recommend re-applying a small amount of our ‘Maintenance Wax’ (33002) periodically with a cloth or brush which provides additional protection to the surface of your product and further protects this from any harmful external elements. Regular oiling of all moving parts using our ‘3-in-1 Oil' (92337) is beneficial to the longevity of products. This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. For accompanying internal products, we recommend our beeswax finish.
Product Code:
The From The Anvil 45700 Round Keyhole Escutcheon in External Beeswax is a premium addition to any door, providing both functional and aesthetic benefits. The escutcheon, meticulously crafted to reflect Art Deco design principles, features elegant and symmetrical lines that make it a striking feature on any door. Manufactured by From The Anvil, a brand renowned for its dedication to quality and traditional craftsmanship, this keyhole escutcheon stands as a testament to enduring style and reliability.
The beeswax finish is particularly noteworthy. This traditional finish not only enhances the natural beauty of the metal but also offers protective qualities, making it suitable for external use. The beeswax coating is carefully applied to create a slightly matt appearance, which can deepen in colour over time to give a beautiful aged effect. The finish also allows for minor imperfections, adding unique character to each piece.
This escutcheon is designed to be paired with matching door handles, providing a cohesive look while ensuring practical functionality. With precise engineering, it fits seamlessly around keyholes, offering protection from wear and improving the overall safety of your door by obscuring the lock mechanism. Ideal for period properties and new homes alike, the From The Anvil 45700 Round Keyhole Escutcheon combines aesthetic appeal with superb craftsmanship, making it a perfect choice for discerning homeowners and builders.
